Event
The program has four papers on a diversity of topics:
Rene Lindstadt (Essex) & Ryan J. Vander Wielen (Temple): "Dynamic Partisanship:
Party Loyalty and Agenda Setting in the U.S. House"
Zachary W. Oberfield (Haverford) and Daniel Weaver (Mathematica): "How Government
Creates (and Doesn’t Create) Feedback: Poverty Policy, Incarceration, and
Civic Engagement"
Mara Ostfield (Penn): "One Vision: Spanish-Language Media Effects on Latino
Political Identity"
Joshua Darr (Penn) and Matthew Levendusky (Penn): "Relying on the Ground
Game: The Placement and Effect of Campaign Field Offices"
Papers will be available a few weeks prior to the conference for attendees
to read in advance. For each paper, the authors will make a brief
presentation and a grad student will provide a short commentary, then we'll open up for broader discussion. We'll leave time in the schedule
for a long lunch to give attendees an opportunity to meet and talk with
one another. Please contact Marc
Meredith with questions.
