As a researcher and Ph.D. student, Cecilia is interested in questions that concern civic/political behaviour, media effects, social capital, and deliberative democracy within the context of technological changes. As an avid volunteer, she is driven by a curiosity and passion for how she, with others, can contribute sustainably and meaningfully to the world through collective action.
Previously, Cecilia worked as a policy analyst with the Canadian government and as a communications aide with the UN International Computing Center in New York. Cecilia received her MA in Political Science and Government from Columbia University, where she specialized in political behaviour. She received her honours BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
