Rashi Sabherwal is a Ph.D. student at the University of Pennsylvania where she studies Comparative and American Politics. Her research agenda lies at the intersections of comparative political economy, development, and gender, with a focus in South Asia. She is particularly interested in studying women's political participation and demands on the state using field experiments, surveys, and in-depth qualitative fieldwork. Prior to starting her doctoral degree, She worked on field-based research projects at the Jameel Poverty Action Lab and Evidence for Policy Design in India. Rashi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Macalester College.
