Political science professor Julia Gray and graduate student Chloe Ahn received the 2023 David A. Lake Award for the best paper presented at the 20023 International Political Economy Society Conference for their paper “Re-Dedicating Ourselves to the Cause of Bleeding Africa: Sociotropic Portrayls of Economic Cooperation in US Black Newspapers, 1946-1989."
