Amber Mackey accepted a Pre-doctoral Fellowship at MIT for 2023-24.

Mikhail Strokan was awarded a SAS Dissertation Completion Fellowship (DCF) for 2023-24.

Rachel Hulvey and Miranda Sklaroff received SAS Dissertation Research Awards (DRA) for 2023-24.

Apurva Bamezai was awarded the Judith Rodin Fellowship for research on developing countries.

Rithika Kumar received a APSA-NSF Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant.

Yajna Sanguhan won a Dissertation Planning Grant from the American Institute for Sri Lankan Studies.

Benjamin (Tyler) Leigh was awarded the Rapoport Family Foundation Dissertation Grant.

Yara Damaj and Miranda Sklaroff won fellowships from the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Penn.

Congratulations to Jason Hartwig who was named Dean's Scholar, one of nine given out to graduate students from across all of the departments of Penn's School of Arts & Sciences.

Sabrina Arias is the winner of the 2023 Lawrence C. Finkelstein Award for Best Paper in the International Organization section of the International Studies Association (ISA).

Sabrina Arias and Josh Schwartz (along with Gus Greenstein) are co-winners of the 2023 Best Graduate Student Paper Award for the Environmental Studies Section of the ISA.

Meghan Garrity is the winner of the 2023 Martin O. Heisler Award for Best Graduate Student paper from the Ethnicity, Nationalism & Migration Studies section of the ISA.

Gino Pauselli is the winner of the 2023 Stephen C. Poe Award for the Best Graduate Student paper in the Human Rights section of the ISA.

Siyao Li and Nina Obermeier (Cornell Ph.D., Penn post-doc) are co-winners of the 2023 Best Graduate Student paper award from the International Political Economy section of the ISA.

Christopher Blair won the 2023 Stuart A. Bremer Award, given to the best paper by a graduate student, presented at Annual Meeting of the Peace Science Society.
